Pubs owned and managed by Manchester brewer and pub operator Hydes are currently topping the table in terms of beer quality and cellar management.

Cask Marque, the national independent award for pubs serving great quality cask beers, has confirmed that Hydes currently has the highest proportion of five-star awards within their Scores on the Cellar Doors programme of all UK pub groups, participating in the scheme. 

The Cask Marque programme rates pubs on an array of criteria including cellar temperature, cleanliness of beer lines, condition and cleanliness of glassware and glasswashers and stock rotation.

Hydes was founded in 1863 and is an independent brewery based in Media City UK, Salford. It is dedicated to the production of cask and craft ales, which are distributed throughout its estate of 55 managed and tenanted houses, free trade independent customers, wholesalers and pub groups across the North of England and North Wales.
