Wild Beer Co win Best Drinks Producer at the BBC Food & Farming Awards 2017

Wild Beer Co has won Best Drinks Producers at the BBC Food & Farming Awards which was announced at Bristol’s City Hall. The company, which is based in Shepton Mallet in Somerset, is celebrated for its love of fermentation and barrel-ageing.

Facing stiff competition from fellow category entrants, Oliver’s Cider and The Asterly Bros, as well as the many hundreds that entered the competition, Wild Beer Co came out on top in this prestigious awards ceremony.

The category seeks to reward those who display exceptional provenance and demonstrate excellence and originality in their production methods as well as support the rural economy. The Awards recognise people using carefully sourced ingredients and skill to produce an outstanding drink and saw nominations for people bringing new ideas to the world of drink, as well as the businesses helping to keep great traditions alive

2017 has already seen Wild Beer Co successfully crowd fund £1.9m towards their new brewery facility via the Crowdcube platform, increase export to 28 countries, launch  ‘Sleeping Lemons’ Gin, and continue to roll out of new and exciting beers.
