SIBA added four new full brewing members in April – Four Pillars Brewery in London, Old Spot Brewery in Bradford, Speyside Craft Brewery near Inverness and Hubsters Brewery in Lancashire as well as four Supplier Associates and three Not Yet Brewing members.
Four Pillars Brewery is a craft beer brewery and taproom based in Walthamstow which prides itself on its flagship London brewed ‘Untraditional Lager’. “We adhere to the Pillars of brewing beer. No substitutes. No cheap alternatives. We make Untraditional Lager using the traditional formula.”
The aim of Old Spot Brewery in Bradford is producing consistent, drinkable beers “We’re proud of our range of beers and strive to maintain a consistency of quality. Our customers find that our beers are easy to drink, sometimes too easy. Since our early days in 2005, we’ve picked up lots of awards and come to treat all of our beers like old friends of the family.”
Speyside Craft Brewery is based in the Scottish town of Forres, around 25 miles from Inverness, and is described as “A new and modern brewery. The beers are made using the finest ingredients and the same water that produces some of Scotland’s best-known whiskies. From the aromatic Bow Fiddle Blonde to the spicy Findhorn Killer and the brooding Dark Sky stout.”
Hubsters Brewery is a business built from the passion to brew great beer. It started with their Master Brewer having the vision and drive to start making beer at home to replicate some of the great beers he had tried and tested down the pub after work on a Friday.
SIBA can also be joined by breweries who are Not Yet Brewing and are looking for help, advice, networking opportunities or access to various brewing business tools – three of these joined SIBA in April.
The trade association also works with the companies who supply and support the brewing industry with products and services such as hop and malt merchants, brewery builders, graphic designers and many more. April saw Supplier Membership grow to 311 with four new members: Gill Jennings & Every LLP, Gravity Systems Ltd, Jarballs Ltd and Dixon Group Europe Ltd.
