Sambrook’s Brewery is our Brewery of the Month, and what’s more, is opening a brand new tap room this weekend.
The brewery is moving to its new home over the summer. After growing quickly from its inception in 2008, the brewery is moving a mile up the road from their original site in Battersea to the oldest continuously brewing site in the UK – brewing on site since 1533. Known as Ram Quarter, the area is being redeveloped into a new retail and leisure quarter for southwest London. The Sambrook’s team has installed a state-of-the-art brewery, with its very own tap room and heritage centre, all housed in a most spectacular grade II listed building in the heart of Wandsworth.
The new Sambrook’s tap room is opening on Saturday 17th July with a special day planned (more details on the Sambrook’s website) and is set to be an impressive venue across two huge floors with outside seating in a suntrap courtyard and, a private event space for beer tastings, comedy nights and live music.
Crust Bros will be taking over the kitchen at the new Sambrook’s Brewery Tap on its launch day. Crust Bros will serve the taproom with a menu of their most popular signature pizzas, from the Notorious P.I.G with tomato, mozzarella, basil, ham and mushrooms to the Olivin’ It Up with tomato, mozzarella, basil, artichokes, olives and mushrooms. These Crust Bros classics sit alongside Crust Bros’ menu of totally customisable pizzas, with guests free to create their perfect pizza combos, as well as Sambrook’s 15-strong selection of IPAs, pilsners, bitters and ryes, all brewed on site.
To get in the weekend spirit, every Saturday and Sunday Crust Bros and Sambrook’s will serve a brunch, with 90 minutes of unlimited pizza and beer coming in at £40 from 12-4:00pm. Perfect for groups, this can be enjoyed in the 160-cover taproom or outdoors in the brewery’s extensive 50-cover beer garden. For every pizza sold at the Sambrook’s Brewery Tap, Crust Bros will plant a tree in partnership with sustainable business movement Earthly – at no extra cost to their customers.
