Pub 17 is taking place at Olympia in London on 7-8 February and it is free to attend. The pub show was set up in 2015 to celebrate the UK pub industry’s innovations, trends, products, services and people. Last year there were over 180 exhibitions, 24 seminars and thousands of operators all in one place.

Of particular interest if you work in beer is the Beer Writers’ Bar. This bar will be curated by some of the UK’s favourite beer sommeliers. As well as offering insight into the world of beer, visitors will also have the chance to meet regional brewers from around the UK.

You can also book into the Beer Academy talk at the Taste Table. Beer Academy Sommelier and BBPA Policy Manager Steve Livens will talk about how to boost your beer and food sales by harmonising them both together. This session will be run on both days of Pub 17. There is also an exhibition featuring many of the industry’s leading suppliers, aiming to provide all the essentials you need to run a profitable pub.
