This new event provides the opportunity to meet some of Manchester’s most exciting breweries during the last weekend in May.
The Saturday Expo on May 23 showcases the Piccadilly breweries taking part in Manchester Brewery Expo. These breweries are Alphabet, Cloudwater, Privateer, Squawk, and Track, with a range of tours, events and tastings planned. Most breweries will be open until 7pm, with the Satuday night after party at First Chop starting at 7:30pm.
The three Green Quarter participating breweries take centre stage on Sunday 24th May. Blackjack, Marble and Runaway will be hosting a range of tours, events, tastings, and more. Most breweries will be open until 7pm, with the Sunday night after party at Blackjack.
The nine breweries have already joined forces to create a special collaboration beer for the event, a full-flavoured 5.5% American pale ale made with new-season American hops and a hybrid US/UK malt bill. A spokesman said: “Whether we take our inspiration from the old or the new, are honouring the traditional or are working to innovate and modernise, we all share a love of beer, and a desire to make a scene-changing contribution to our city.”
In the words of the organisers “Manchester Brewery Expo is cementing a new era of co-operation and collaboration across our city. We’re joining forces to open up for a weekend like no other. Come and see the places and meet the people behind some of the best beer ever brewed in this city.”
