GBBF Brewery Bar line up revealed

With just 100 days to go until Britain’s largest beer festival, CAMRA has unveiled its brewery bar lineup – a chance for the nation’s best brewers to showcase their most innovative and exciting brews.

The Great British Beer Festival, taking place at London Olympia from 6-10 August, boasts over a thousand British and international beers, ciders, perries, wines and – new for 2019 – a dedicated gin bar.

The brewery lineup is a unique feature of the festival where brewers from across the country are invited to bring their beer range to sample.

24 breweries will be on show this year with big names such as Harvey’s, St Austell and Adnams alongside microbrewers including Moon Gazer, Brewery of Angels & Demons and Beer Monkey. New attendee West Berkshire Brewery will be serving direct from their beer van and St Austell will bring a DJ to add to the festivities.

Catherine Tonry, Great British Beer Festival organiser, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming back returning brewers and new faces to the festival. The brewery bar lineup is always a feature favourite for our visitors, giving them a unique chance to enjoy a wide range of beers from breweries from around the country.”

The full list of breweries include:

  • Adnams – established in 1872, Adnams make amazing beers and spirits from grain-to-glass in their east coast home of Southwold.

  • Anspach & Hobday – founded by home-brewing school friends, Anspach & Hobday brew quality ales, porters and lagers from the heart of London with a strong influence of tradition and a keen eye on the future.

  • Arkells – at 175 years old, Arkell’s Brewery is one of the few family breweries left in the UK, established as an offshoot to the family farm near Swindon when Isambard Kingdom Brunel was building his Great Western Railway locomotive works.

  • Bedlam – based at the foot of the South Downs just outside the vibrant city of Brighton with a core range of four cask conditioned beers complemented by an ever-changing range of exciting seasonal, limited edition ales.

  • Beer Monkey – Beer Monkey’s 30 barrel Bavarian steam powered brew plant with their very own bore hole to supply Yorkshire water helps ensure that all their Ales are packed with character, flavour & individuality.

  • Big Hand Brewing – operating since 2013 this family owned and run microbrewery in North Wales boasts a solid range of core beers covering a wide selection of styles, strongly supported by their ethos; Honest, Classic and Contemporary.

  • Bishop Nick – an Essex-based brewery that has won a number of awards including Silver Supreme Champion Beer of Britain in 2017.

  • Bradfield Brewery – a family run brewery based on a busy working farm in the Peak District. Using the finest malts, traditional hops and natural spring water from their own borehole they produce a range of distinctive and award-winning cask conditioned real ales.

  • Brewery of Angels & Demons – using hops and malts from the UK and across the world all carefully selected for their distinctive flavour profile, the beers are classically fermented for a smooth, bold taste and dry hopped for that modern twist, giving heavy aromas and a punchy finish.

  • Dawkins Brewery – a small, independent brewery that brews a wide range of beers from the traditional to the modern hop-forward styles.

  • Gorgeous Brewery – a family run craft brewery that works with little automation meaning a whole lot of care and work goes into everything they make.

  • Greyhound – a West Sussex micro-brewery with a range of brews on show, from firm favourites to exciting newly developed ales.

  • Harvey’s – Using a blend of local hops, water filtered through the Sussex Downs over 30 years and Harvey’s unique 60-year-old yeast strain, Harvey’s beers are the embodiment of Sussex.

  • Loch Lomond Brewery – starting life in a kitchen in Luss on the shores of Loch Lomond and having brewed a number of award-winning beers, LLB has recently rebranded to include a number of new beers in cask, keg, bottle and can.

  • Moon Gazer – brewed by a small, passionate team at the Norfolk Brewhouse, it has a growing reputation for crafting distinctive, high-quality beers – picking up a clutch of national and regional awards.

  • Padstow Brewing Company – set on Cornwall’s rugged North Coast and founded by a husband and wife team, this brewery continues to brew across a wide range of styles from traditional real ales to innovative craft beers.

  • Quantock Brewery – born out of a love of brewing by head brewer and former nuclear engineer Rob Rainey, Quantock continues to explore new ideas and add to their ever-growing range of beers crafted in the heart of Somerset.

  • Reunion Ales – specialising in brewing modern session beers, each beer is carefully engineered to be easy drinking – the well-balanced sum of its parts with no single ingredient coming too much to the fore.  

  • St Austell – the St Austell Brewery bar will once again be rocking its way through the festival with music from DJ Lennie B. Their range this year will include both cask and live key keg beer.

  • Tatton Brewery – has a strong reputation for making consistently, high-quality beers with distinct flavour and character, deriving from a unique historic Cheshire yeast.

  • Titanic Brewery – brewed in the creative and industrial heart of the West Midlands, two Staffordshire brothers have owned and run Titanic for over 30 years.

  • Twickenham Fine Ales – London’s oldest microbrewery uses global hops and only the purest of ingredients to produce a fine range of well hopped, award-winning beers.

  • West Berkshire Brewery – independently brewing since 1995, West Berkshire Brewery is proud to be anchored by their founders’ principals; respect for tradition, commitment to building a sustainable future and a focus on community.

  • Tuesday 6th August – 12 noon-5pm (Trade Session)
  • Tuesday 6th August – 5pm-10:30pm (Public Session)
  • Wednesday 7th August – 12 noon-10:30pm
  • Thursday 8th August – 12 noon-10:30pm
  • Friday 9th August – 12 noon-10:30pm
  • Saturday 10th August – 11am-7:00pm
  • Last Admission: half an hour before close.
