Fuller’s presents Shakespeare in the Garden

Returning for another year, Fuller’s Inns is delighted to announce Shakespeare in the Garden 2018, in association with Open Bar. Bigger and better than even before, this year sees Open Bar interpret two of Shakespeare’s funniest plays: Much Ado About Nothing and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

From Thursday 12 July 2018 running through to Thursday 2 August 2018, Open Bar will put on 15 performances of Much Ado About Nothing across 12 Fuller’s pubs.  Then from Tuesday 31 July 2018 until Saturday 15 September, the Company will take on A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This run will include 27 performances, including 17 pubs and for the first time in Shakespeare in the Garden history, there will be a very special performance at Fuller’s Brewery in Chiswick.

Delicious, fresh food will be available to purchase at each pub, including gourmet bar snacks and bespoke pre-performance pub menus. Each bar will, as always, be well stocked with a great array of beers, including Fuller’s flagship brand London Pride and award winning Frontier Craft Lager. There will also be a wide variety of wines and spirits.

Jonathon Swaine, Managing Director of Fuller’s Inns, said: “I am thrilled to be welcoming Open Bar Theatre back for another year – not for one show but two of Shakespeare’s famous plays. This is always a personal highlight in the Fuller’s event calendar. For me, nothing beats relaxing in a pub on a warm summer’s evening, enjoying a delicious pint and watching some first-class entertainment.

“It is brilliant that Shakespeare in the Garden is making its debut at our Griffin Brewery in Chiswick – our wisteria is the perfect setting for A Midsummer Night’s Dream and I cannot wait to see how creative the actors will be with this unique setting.”
