Batemans Brewery, the family brewery based in Wainfleet Lincolnshire, have invested in a new steam generation plant to continue brewing Batemans ales. The new equipment replaces the existing steam boiler which was installed in 1976.
An investment of circa £100,000 has been made to ensure that the brewing of Batemans world famous ales continues in Wainfleet for years to come. The new plant will produce efficiencies with regard to the energy input required to brew the beers and will reduce their carbon footprint. A modern steam generator from Certuss (UK) Ltd has been chosen. Equipment that has a proven track record in energy efficiency across many industries not just brewing.
Martin Cullimore, Batemans head brewer is delighted with this new piece of equipment, he said ‘The new steam generator will be 93% energy efficient which is a significant improvement over the existing steam boiler’
