Rebecca has selected Railway Porter on cask from The Five Points Brewing Company.
She says: “Railway Porter is a magical beer that’s great on keg, but exceptional on cask. I’m lucky enough to live around Hackney in East London, and The Pembury Tavern, owned and operated by The Five Points, is a regular haunt for me. So I don’t have to look very hard to find this beer!
“Why do I love this beer so much on cask? There’s something about the smooth texture, the mouthfeel, that makes it a pleasure to drink. This—paired with the notes of roasted barley and dark chocolate—make the beer taste like a silky chocolate milkshake. It’s simultaneously sessionable and moreish, packed with the aromas and flavours of a beer that’s ideal during the cooler months. I’m looking forward to drinking it as we move through fall and into winter!”
