Robinsons Brewery have partnered with There’s A Beer For That to bring the first ‘Beer Club Live’ event to their award-winning Visitors Centre in Stockport on Wednesday 13th July.
The event will see six handpicked ales and beers matched against a six course taster menu chosen by Robinsons Brewery’s Executive chef Christian Whittleworth. With courses such as chicken balti, deep fried salt and vinegar whitebait and chips, chorizo Scotch egg and Moroccan lamb burger all matched with award-winning beers, the event will unite beer boffins and foodies alike.
There’s a Beer For That is a campaign backed by Britain’s Beer Alliance with the aim to get more people understanding and loving our national drink by educating consumers about the variety of beer available in the UK and encouraging them to discover different styles that will fit a wide range of occasions and food.
Many experts argue that with its diversity of styles and flavour, beer has even more food matching potential than wine. Food and beer can be complementary, contrasting and cleansing to create special combinations and a different taste experience compared to drinking`beer on its own.

Based on the success of the online Beer Clubs we have run so far, we decided to create Beer Club Live Events. We will host an evening, in partnership with great brewers and pub companies, where people can learn about the quality, diversity and versatility of beer through tasting a range of brilliant beer and food pairings in a convivial atmosphere and at a great venue.
